About Stacey Wilson
STRONGER TOGETHER
Stacey L. Wilson loves community service and has a heart of a champion. This winning and leadership spirit are qualities born in Stacey since her appearance into the world in Ohio, where she is a native of Steubenville, Ohio. Stacey's mother was a retired local business owner, her father, a former Police Officer. Stacey and her five siblings were reared in a tight-knit home and taught the importance of being a leader.

Stacey and her siblings attended Steubenville "Big Red" High School. It was there where Stacey was exposed to more community service and leadership. For the first time she ran for a class office and was elected as Steubenville “Big Red” High School Class President. Furthermore, while in high school Stacey also worked for Steubenville, Ohio City Hall in the Administration Department. Stacey is a strong believer in education, which lead her to receive a certification as a Volunteer Management Specialist at Austin Community College and a master’s degree in Counseling and Executive Leadership at Liberty University.

After her high school graduation, Stacey attended college at Kent State University and earned a degree in Rhetorical Communication. After college she worked in numerous managerial positions, until she became a military spouse. As a military spouse she traveled in support of her husband, and she spent time working in the banking industry before finally becoming an entrepreneur serving the people of “The Great Place” at Fort Hood, Texas.

Over 22 years she made Fort Hood’s Garrison Chaplain Office her focal point and business. There she served Active-Duty Soldiers, Veterans, Civilians, and their family members. Stacey is the spouse of a United States Army Veteran for 29 years and an entrepreneur for over 22 years. She has two sons, who both attended Elementary, Middle, and High School in Harker Heights. In addition, she has a Masters Degree in Executive Leadership and experience in Banking and Management.

Stacey is running for County Commissioner, Precinct 2.

Flood The Polls
Economic Development
Leadership drives local economic development and the local business
There are no overnight sensations in the world of local economic development. Lasting, future-oriented economic development requires a leader who challenges the status quo, who champions small businesses, and who advocates for what is in the best interest of the community to ensure all are seen, valued, and heard. Stacey will work to grow Bell county sustainably and equitably, not just for today but for our future.
Improve Public Safety
We need change now.
The safety of Bell County is a priority. The outpourings of grief and generational pain we are seeing in today's communities is the catalyst for working towards being proactive and not reactive. The way we have been doing things is no longer serving every one, we must critically examine criminal justice reform. We must partner and demand just treatment of all and proper support that enables us to reimagine what kind of Texas we want to build - a Texas where all people can live safely and freely, including those who protect and serve. Stacey knows that when we work together, we are better and stronger.
Improve Infrastructure
Policy Recommendations
Stacey's mom always said to leave places better than you found them. Stacey will do just that. Our roads and bridges connect children to school, parents to jobs, and people to their community. Ensuring our roads and bridges are safe and regularly checked is important. We want to ensure your tax dollars are being allocated to enhance the quality of life experienced in this great county. The power and water outage experienced in 2021 tested our infrastructure and we community stepped in when politics couldn't. You deserve better. We deserve better and Stacey will be a full-time commissioner focused on keeping us strong and connected with those we love most and our beautiful, diverse community.
Four major infrastructure priorities in this respect:
Transportation, water, broadband, and infrastructure workforce development. Although they do not cover all infrastructure sectors, these four priority areas demonstrate the need for additional federal investment, financial flexibility, and programmatic direction.
Increase Resource Equity
Resource Equity
I want to ensure Precinct 2 receives their fair share of the resources that Bell County has to offer.
Equal opportunity is the bedrock of American democracy
I will pursue a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.

Affirmatively advancing equity, civil rights, racial justice, and equal opportunity is the responsibility of the whole of our Government. Because advancing equity requires a systematic approach to embedding fairness in decision-making processes, local departments and agencies must recognize and work to redress inequities in their policies and programs that serve as barriers to equal opportunity.
